Letters, 1804-1807.

Lanzi invokes the generosity of his patron, Innocenzo Ansaldi, and confirms the location of their first meeting, which is to take place shortly (1804). Returning the catalog of a fine arts library, Lanzi congratulates his correspondent on acquiring such a fine collection of rare and valuable books and suggests a better cataloguing and classification scheme for them (1805). Lanzi sends an inscription as promised and attributes his recent period of unproductivity to a most excellent vermouth (1807).
